In the world market of sunflower oil there was a shift of forces.

For the last year, a shift in the intensity of vegetable oil production has become characteristic. So, India turned out to be the largest importer of oil, while 10 years ago it was not included in the top ten world consumers of this product.

The second place is occupied by the European Union, in the past occupying a leading position. Similarly to India, China, a country that today ranks third in the world import of sunflower oil, was not among the first ten largest consumer countries in 2007–2008.

As for exports, over the past decade, according to Svetlana Sinkovskaya, Ukraine has moved from third to first position in oil supply. Thus, in terms of exports, Ukraine left behind Russia and the European Union. The bulk of Ukrainian sunflower oil last year was shipped to India - about 46%. Exactly 1/4 of the oil from Ukraine was exported to the EU, 9% of production went to China. At the same time, Sinkovskaya noted that the bulk of the oil supplied by Ukraine is damp pressed. Part of the crude oil that goes to world markets from Ukraine is 92%.
