This decision was declared by the State Duma of the Russian Federation on December 30, 2018. Now, not only food, but also food products, as well as building materials, such as wallpaper and furniture, have been added to prohibited goods. 
The tightening of the law on the import of Ukrainian goods into Russia was carried out when, after massive raids on vegetable storehouses and warehouses, illegally imported goods from Ukraine were found. According to analysts, the Russian treasury, due to smuggling, lost about 2 million dollars.
For the bill, all sanctions imposed on Ukrainian goods will be lifted if the Ukrainian government responds and lifts the ban on goods brought from Russia.
