The name "dwarf" tomato received because low growth bushes. But this is not a disadvantage, but rather a virtue. Due to the short stature, the bushes do not need to tie up and pinch. The plant does not form one central vertical stem. From the root grow 4-5 stems at once. Reaching a height of 20 cm, they begin to wrap down. Growing on the branches, stepchildren also wrap down. It turns out that the bush does not grow up, but in breadth. Thick branches with stepsons form a "pillow", which reaches 80-100 cm in diameter. In the process of growth, a powerful root system is also formed. Leaves thick, narrow and strongly pubescent. 
Fruit
Large fruits (100-200 g), round, red color. They look disproportionately large on such low bushes and lie practically on the ground. They have a characteristic tomato flavor: they are juicy, sweet and sour. Although opinions on taste are also divided: for some gourmets, these fruits are too watery, for others - very sweet. The advantages include the following features of the variety:

There are few disadvantages, but they are:
- The “dwarf” does not like sour, heavy soils. It will not give a good harvest in areas with a humid climate, where it is very hot.
- The initial phase of development is very tight: first, the seedlings “sit” for a long time, and then start to grow sharply in breadth.
- "Mongolian dwarf" is not listed in public registries, so it is impossible to buy in stores.
Landing features
Planting tomatoes can be divided into two stages: sowing seeds and planting seedlings in open ground.
1. Sowing seeds:
- Experts give different recommendations regarding planting dates: some advise doing this in February, and others in March. The advantage of February sowing is that in May flowering bushes will be planted in open ground in May, and the first fruits will be ready in June.
- Boxes for seedlings need to be filled with a mixture of turf land and humus, or with ready-made soil for seedlings from the store.
- Dive seedlings should be with the appearance of 2-3 true leaves.
Important! The small size of the dwarf seedlings is not a signal of a lack of nutrients, but a hallmark of the variety.

It is best to use black covering material or black film for this purpose. But mulch can serve as other materials at hand: sawdust, straw, stubble nettle. And you can use boards and pieces of plywood by placing them directly under the ripening tomatoes.
Important! Shrubs "Mongolian dwarf" develop better and bear fruit in the open ground, and not in the greenhouse, where it is usually very humid. And the lack of ventilation of the greenhouse will simply destroy them.

"Mongolian Dwarf" - unpretentious variety. He is happy to grow the so-called "lazy" gardeners, as he does not require special care. They take care of the "dwarf" in the same way as other tomatoes: they water it regularly, make weeding, remove weeds, feed it with complex mineral fertilizers. Unlike other tomatoes, this variety does not need to be tied up and pinned, because the bushes are very short.

As already mentioned, the tomato "Mongolian dwarf" is not registered anywhere, so there is no such specialized shop where you can buy seeds of this variety. It is possible to purchase them only from private collectors, having made an order on the Internet. But you need to be careful, as there are dishonest sellers who offer the usual determinant varieties of tomatoes, calling them "Mongolian dwarf". Therefore it is worth making a purchase only from trusted sellers who have proven themselves well. The main feature of this "dwarf" is a low bush, the stems of which at a height of 15-20 cm sharply bent down. Other tomato varieties do not have this property.
