In the Chernigov region in the LLC "Rassvet" (Bobrovitsa, Bobrovitsky district, Chernihiv region) on February 14, the death of three pigs was recorded. A study of selected biomaterial samples at the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise (Kiev) on February 15 was diagnosed with African swine fever (ASF).
In order to coordinate actions to localize and eliminate the ASF outbreak, a meeting of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission at the Bobrovitsk District Administration was held, which approved the plan to eliminate ASF, determined the boundaries of the epizootic focus, protection and surveillance zones. According to preliminary information, Rassvet LLC has about 400 pigs. To coordinate the activities, specialists from Derzhprodzhozhivsluzhby and the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise left for the Chernihiv region. In the focus of the disease, measures are being taken to localize and prevent the spread of the causative agent of ASF.
