Ukraine agreed to compensate the purchase of Ukrainian equipment to farmers

Yesterday, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision on compensation to farmers for the purchase of Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment for 15% of the cost. But it turned out that farmers who buy Ukrainian machinery in 2017 will be compensated for 15% of the cost, if 35% of their total number of locally produced machines. The ad says “localization level,” which means that local equipment you own will grow to 45% in 2018, 55% in 2019, and 60% in 2020.

The Prime Minister said: "We want to maximize the equipment produced from Ukrainian components" and "This will create thousands of jobs in the sector and related industries." This policy will provoke a 15% increase in prices for locally produced cars and the movement of imported cars between companies in order to achieve the necessary “localization level”.
