How to grow at home?

Seed propagation
After the bud of the plant fades, seeds appear. For the cultivation of hibiscus from seeds requires their preliminary preparation for sowing. You need to pour water into the container, add rooting stimulator and soak the seeds for 12 hours. After that, rinse them, degrease in a weak solution of potassium permanganate, put in a damp cloth and leave in a warm place.
After the sprouts appear, moisten them with water and air them. Plants planted in pots quickly give new shoots. Blossom begins after 3 years, not always with this method preserves the properties inherent in the original form.
How to grow from cuttings?
Decorative hibiscus differs in a variety of colors, they multiply easily if certain conditions are met. When propagating by cuttings, it is necessary to root the cutting from a plant that you like. When choosing petioles, remember that it should be at least two internodes.
For rooting cuttings can be used in several ways:
- cut the stalk in February, place it in the wet sand for rooting (to speed up the rooting process, you can cover the container with the stalk plastic wrap), the plant should be at a temperature of 22-24 degrees up to 2 months;
- cut the twig and place it in the water before the formation of roots.
For proper rooting cuttings are needed:
- small plastic or glass container;
- peat tablet;
- ready drainage (expanded clay);
- drug to accelerate rooting;
- polyethylene glass or film;
- soil disintegrant (vermiculite).
A tablet of peat should be poured with water, carefully cut the stalk, lightly dry it and powder it with “Kornevin”. After taking the tablet form slightly squeeze it, add vermiculite and mix.
Lay drainage at the bottom of the tank, pour the resulting soil, put the cutting deep into 2 cm Cover the container with glass or plastic wrap, place in a well-lit place. Watering when the soil dries, occasionally air (every two weeks).
After about 2.5 months, the roots will appear, after they get stronger, you can transplant the plant into a pot and continue to care for it, like an adult.
Usually a young plant quickly releases buds. This may not happen, because the strength of the plant is not enough. The first flowers will certainly appear after the plant reaches 30 cm. During the whole summer the hibiscus grows actively. Cutting the stalk in October, you can get a flowering plant by the summer.
Rooting cuttings of Chinese roses in water
Cut branches are placed in water, adding a growth stimulator (to accelerate the formation of roots). Periodically it is required to add water as it evaporates. The appearance of the roots lasts a long time, after their formation in sufficient quantities, the plant is transferred to a pot with prepared soil.
How to plant a Chinese rose with shoots?
Stem shoots are used for the reproduction of hibiscus, especially in the summer time their rooting occurs quickly and easily. To do this:
- choose a stalk width of 0.5 cm;
- cut the tip at a distance of 15 cm, remove the lower leaves;
- put in a container for rooting;
- place in a well-lit place;
- water as needed.
Is it possible to reproduce the leaf?
A hibiscus leaf cut and placed in water can give roots. Planted in the ground, it will be green and beautiful in appearance. It is not recommended to use a leaf for reproduction: a full-fledged plant will not appear from it.
If you use for breeding sheet with a "heel", then it will already be considered a cutting, it will root well and eventually will turn into a full-fledged plant.
Graft
To be successful vaccinations should be considered:
- for grafting cuttings use a young plant of Chinese rose;
- inoculate a plant crown;
- on one bush should not be more than 5 scions;
- vaccination is recommended in the first summer months.

Saplings
Garden hibiscus are propagated by bending a lower shoot to the ground in spring, sprinkling it with earth and pinning it. The earth should be hydrated for a month until the roots appear. Rooted seedlings can be transplanted in the fall or next year in the spring.
